Minnie studied Textile Design at Brunel Univesity and after graduating she enjoyed designing for interiors and soft furnishings, childrenswear and also the greetings card industry.  All of these design fields have given her great enjoyment and experience over the years.

Minnie's design work is quirky and a little eclectic; she enjoys the mix of drawing, pattern and texture and to collage these together.  Minnie loves to incorporate humor and fun and takes most of her inspiration from everyday life and objects.  Sometimes the most ordinary and simple paraphernalia can be turned into something more lively and exciting; something to that in turn creates smile. 

Minnie's current work is still based on a love of mixed media but she is now exploring the use of fabrics with hand painted papers and stitching.  Most of her inspiration now comes from a love of gardening and so simple scenes of stitched and button flowers, floral trees and patterned skies are where my creativity takes me.
