Product Description
1945 – From Guangdong Taishan, born in Guangdong Lianxian;
1962 – Studied Chinese traditional art through well-known painters such as ZiXu Lu, WoLong Su and ShaoBing Ye;
1964 – Begun oil painting;
1966 – The Cultural Revolution begun, so in order to escape from the political conflict, he made Lake Lu by Baiyun Mountain his sanctuary for painting. Soon formed ‘LuHu Faction’ with a group of painters he met there;
1981 – An oil painting was entered into the Asian Modern Art Exhibition, and shown in Tokyo Modern Art Gallery, Japan;
1982 – On behalf of the Japan Asia Modern art Alumni Association, participated in the Asian Modern Art Exhibition with some Chinese artists in the name of ‘Guangzhou Research Association’;
1983 – Attempted forms of Avant-Garde Art with a few other young artists, and organized Guangzhou’s first Avant-Garde Exhibition of Art. However, all their works were then confiscated by the local authorities;
1984 – With the help of some artists, they held China’s first Christian Art Exhibition, and another in the following year;
1985 – Held his own solo art gallery, and again, an Avant-Garde Art exhibition with his friends in Guangzhou Cultural Park;
1987 – Invited to become a member of Guangdong’s Artist Association, and a diplomatic adviser of Art College of Guangzhou;
1988 – Appointed by XuanPing Ye, the Governor of Guangdong Province, to be Head of Guangdong’s Government Cultural and Historical Research;
-       Became an external artist of Guangzhou Art Academy;
-       Oil painting “The Road” was awarded first price in the Canadian International Exhibition of small-scaled Art;
1990 – Invited by Guimet Museum, Paris, and with the approval of the Chinese Ministry of Culture to hold his solo oil painting exhibition;
1992 – Held an exhibition in Guangcong Art Gallery, Taiwan;
1993 ­– Chosen to be an Administrative Committee in the Guangdong Province government;
- ‘Luhu Faction’ held their first group exhibition in Art of Dragon gallery in Taiwan;
1994 – Held an exhibition in the Macau Government Hall;
1995 – Held an exhibition in Zhongshan Library, Guangdong, for the sixth time;
1996 – Started a column in the YangCheng Evening News, to discuss the topic of Art collection and the market;
-       ‘Luhu faction’ held an exhibition in Art Academy of Guangdong;
-       Specially studied on China’s ancient art, wrote many columns for magazines such as Lingnan Culture and History;
-       Held an exhibition in Art Academy of Guangdong for the ninth time;
1997­ – Received invitation from the Council of Zachary, Louisiana, United States, to hold an exhibition in their city museum;
1998 – Chosen to be representative of the 9th Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress;
2004 – Chosen to be representative of the 10th Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress;
2005 – Organised and participated in the ‘Luhu Faction’ exhibition, in Taiwan, for the third time;
2008 - Organised and participated in the ‘Luhu Faction’ exhibition, in Art Academy of Guangdong for the fifth time;
-       ‘LuHu Faction’ is registered with the Hongkong Government, and he appointed as President;
-       ‘Luhu Faction’ held their sixth exhibition in Zengcheng Cultural Square, Guangzhou;
2011 – Guangze Liang Exhibition held in both PanyuXiangjiang Hotel and Guangzhou Dongnai Art Center;
2012 – Guangze Liang Exhibition held in Panyu Guesthouse;
2013 – ‘LuHu Faction’ exhibition in Nanhai Cultural Center, Foshan.
Guangze Liang:
Landscape painter, Art Critic, Guangzhou Oil Painting Artists Association’s art Advisor; was an Administrative Committee in the Guangdong Province government, and Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress’ Representative. Guangze has been engaged in oil painting for the past 50 or so years, and exhibited nation wide for more than a dozen times. His paintings reflect and emphasis specifically on colour and light, complementing his diverse range of composition.
